Most movies you only really watch once, unless its like American Beauty or Superbad, where it takes a fair few watches to get old. Without a doubt this movie is great, the character 'George' is one of those characters in a film who's name you search afterwards to find other movies with they've featured in, as he plays the role of a; confused, troubled, intelligent, different teenager who most could relate to at that age. If you want a movie that makes you think afterwards and can relate to, then I'd say watch it. It's great for a night in, but I'd say the downfalls is the fact that yet again like most of these types of films is predictable, but other than that I'd say the acting is great and its enjoyable to say the least.
'Sentiment: Negative ☹️'
Was looking forward to an NYC based indie movie with Emma Roberts and a good supporting cast including Rita Wilson, Blair Underwood etc.Why does everyone look so strange? The once lovely Alicia Silverstone looks haggard and crooked mouthed beyond her years. Rita looks faded and almost like she let go of herself. Michael Angarano looks overweight and he has almost become a Beau Bridges wannabe.Freddy Highmore's blank expression gives his Woody Allen / The Graduate persona no insights. His romance with Emma Roberts isn't convincing or involving. The rather shallow plot lines about not wanting to do homework and financial difficulties are not interesting or dealt with in an interesting manner. Please don't bother with this non starter.

I was disappointed in this movie and tried very hard to watch it the entire way through. It's a typical angsty teen who can't fit in story. There were some refreshing moments with Emma Roberts character, Sally. She was very charming but I found myself getting more frustrated with Freddie Highmore's character, George, because he was just an overly emotional brat in my opinion.I hope that if you watch this movie and enjoy it that I hope it speaks to you about motivation and finding people you can connect with and keeping them close in your life because I feel like that the message that was to be conveyed but I mostly just found myself frustrated and bored.
